SRINAGAR, Sept 12: Several deputations from South Kashmir today called on former J&K Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad and extended their support to him besides apprising him of their problems.
Those who met Azad included ex-legislators, DDC members, ex-MP, Councillors, Sarpanches, social activists and others who have expectations from Azad.
The people were overwhelmed by the visit and decision of Azad to launch a new party to work for betterment of J&K people.
Azad gave ample time to all the deputations and this pumped new energy in his supporters and well-wishers.
“In Kashmir, people are suffering. There is no development and jobs,” most of the deputations stated and voiced for Statehood, job rights, land rights etc.
Ex-MP Ghulam Nabi Ratanpuri also joined Azad.
Azad asked the leaders to visit their constituencies and reach out to people to sort out their problems.
He also asked the workers to gear up their efforts for developing contact with people to face upcoming assembly elections in the J&K.
He exhorted upon all workers and leaders to put best effort for strengthening the unit in J&K.
