Southern states freight up on tight position of trucks

NEW DELHI, Dec 7: Freight rates for nine-tonne load for southern destinations hardened by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following busy cargo movements.
Transporters said apart from busy cargo movements, less position of trucks mainly brought the rise in some of the southern destinations.
Delhi to Banglore, Mysore and Kochi rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 64,000, Rs 67,000 and Rs 73,000.
Rates to Chennai, Pondicherry and Coimbatore also improved by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 65,000, Rs 68,000 and Rs 71,000.
