NEW DELHI, Feb 28: Soybean prices firmed up by Rs 57 to Rs 3,780 per quintal in futures trade today on immense buying by investors in tune with upbeat overseas sentiments.
Market players said traders went for the long positions on the back of rising price overseas, which led to an upsurge in soybean futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange counter, soybean delivery for the most traded March jumped up by Rs 57 or 1.53 per cent to Rs 3,780 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,76,960 lots.
Likewise, the delivery of the April bounced by Rs 55 or 1.46 per cent to Rs 3,831 per quintal, having an open interest of 1,33,030 lots. (PTI)
