NEW DELHI, May 14: Soybean prices slackened by Rs 32 to Rs 3,674 per quintal in futures trade today on cutting down of holdings in sync with falling prices overseas.
Market players said, tracking subdued overseas trend, speculators opted to trim their holdings, which led to fall in soybean futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, soybean delivery for May went down by Rs 32 or 0.86 per cent to Rs 3,674 per quintal, with a business turnover of 16,520 lots.
Similarly, the delivery of the most traded June contract slipped by Rs 14 or 0.37 per cent to Rs 3,720 per quintal, showing an open interest of 1,60,750 lots. (PTI)
