SRINAGAR, Nov 25: President Pradesh Congress Committee and former Union Minister Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz has appealed the Sarpanchs and Panchs to remain united and support the programmes of Coalition Government for better service to the people.
Addressing a gathering of Sarpanchs and Panchs at Kupwara and Handwara in Kashmir valley today the PCC chief explained them that Coalition was steadfast in its commitment to empower the Panchayats and provide honorarium to Sarpanchs and Panchs as well as insurance cover for which Government would pay the premium.
“I also told them that as far their security both Coalition partners would stand behind them and ensure that security environment was strengthened for Sarpanchs and Panchs. I also urged them that they should feel very strong in their mind and should remain determent to perform the role effectively for which they have been elected by the people with a thumping majority’’ Prof Soz added .
PCC chief further informed the Sarpanchs and Panchs that they are destined to become powerful instrument for over all development and progress of the state and soon they would realize importance of their role in the system of service to the people of the State.
