SRINAGAR, Oct 14: Criticising Chief Minister designate Omar Abdullah for his statement that seeking restoration of Article 370 from Modi Government was foolish, former Union Minister Prof Saifuddin Soz opined that people are always be known by the intensity of their struggle and not by result of the same.
“The real proposition is restoration of our Internal Autonomy as enshrined in the now-abrogated Article 370 of the Constitution of India,” he said in a statement, issued here today.
Stating that Omar Abdullah should think of the implications of his remark that Statehood was his immediate priority, Soz said: “Supposing that Modi remains on the scene for another ten years or so; does Omar Abdullah envisage suspension of our effort towards restoration of the Autonomy? If he thinks like this, he is visibly wrong!”
Pointing out that people will always be known by the ‘intensity of their struggle’ and not by the result of their struggle, Soz said conscientious people always live by their aspirations!
