JAMMU, Jan 8: Pradesh Congress Committee president, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz has constituted two committees for Kashmir and Jammu provinces for conducting membership drive.
A PCC spokesman said that both the committees will ensure that the membership drive is completed properly throughout the State by the end of February 2015. Former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma is the chairman of the 11-member committee from Jammu province. The other members of the panel are- former Ministers Mohd Sharief Niaz, Raman Bhalla, Shabir Ahmed Khan, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, S Manjit Singh, Ch Mohd Akram (MLA), Shiv Dev Singh ( Ex-MLA), Kanta Bhan and Sham Lal Bhagat (MLC).
Former Minister Ghulam Ahmed Mir is the chairman of 12-member committee from Kashmir province. The other members are- Khemlata Wakhloo (Ex-MOS), T Samphel (Leh), Ghulam Raza (Kargil), Nissar Ahmed Khan, Shoiab Nabi Lone, S S Chenni, Hilal Shah, Imtiaz Parray, Mohd Maqbool Bhat, Sahil Farooq and Ghulam Hassan Sheikh. The heads of these committees have been asked to accomplish the task by the end of February 2015.
