SRINAGAR, Oct 18: Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz, senior Cong-ress leader and former Member of Parliament and Union Minister, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Prof Soz discussed with Governor issues relating to moving ahead on all fronts, besides providing clean governance and promoting public welfare.
Governor stressed the crucial importance of normalcy being urgently restored in the State and urged Prof Soz to sustain his initiatives in this regard.
Parvez Ahmed, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Bank also called on Governor and apprised him about the steps initiated by the Bank in the past year for expanding its services and increasing its infrastructure, particularly for promoting digital economy.
Governor discussed with Chairman the need for the Bank to provide targeted financial support to identified segments of the State’s economy especially under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, and stressed the Bank’s high responsibility to play a pivotal role in speeding up the growth and development of the State.
