New Delhi, Aug 14: Former Union Minister and Member Parliament, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz today projected the issue of world famous art and craft of Kashmir in the Rajya Sabha.
In response a starred question of Prof Soz, Minister for Women and Child Maneka Gandhi assured Prof Soz that she would send the secretary of the Ministry and other officers to Kashmir to ensure that the proposals for promotion of World Famous art and craft of Kashmir are received early for proper implementation. She also assured Prof Soz to visit herself to Kashmir so that this sector receives attention.
The PCC chief also raised the question what the schemes for women and children like STEP, SWADHAR, Working Women Hostels and Ujwalla had not been implemented in J&K State. The minister however, assured to take necessary steps for the implementation of these schemes in the State.
