Soz re-appointed PCC chief

JAMMU, Apr 4: Congress president Sonia Gandhi today re-appointed Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz as Pradesh Congress Committee (I) president for another term.
AICC general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi announced the re-appointment of Prof Soz in a statement issued at New Delhi.
Seventy five years old Prof Soz, a Rajya Sabha members, was first appointed president of the PCC (I) in February, 2008.
Expressing gratitude to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for reposing faith on him, Prof Soz told EXCELSIOR from New Delhi that he would continue to work like a soldier of the party and shall not betray the trust of dedicated Congress workers in Jammu Kashmir.
“We don’ts make false promises but shall continue our struggle for service of people, solve their problems and help them live life with peace, dignity and honour,” he said.
Maintaining that he would strengthen Congress party in all three regions of the State, Prof Soz said that consolidation of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh with the mainstream was always among  top priorities of the party.
