MEERUT, Feb 1: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday attacked Samajwadi Party (SP) and said that their red cap is a threat to the security and development of the state.
Addressing ‘Prabhavi Matdata Sammenal’ here Yogi said, “The Prime Minister did not call the red cap a red alert without any reason. This red cap is a threat to the security and development of the state. Red cap means riot, history sheeter, dacoity with the people moving on the roads and theft of a pumping set from the tubewell of a farmer.” He said that security of the society and guarantee of the safety of the daughters is of upmost importance. “Security must be the primary condition and safety can be given only by the double engine Government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),” he said. Yogi said that now they (SP leaders) are once again going places and stating that they have taken resolve. “You can not take a resolve, because you were sleeping when the people here were being killed,” he said.
He said that before 2017, riots used to take place every third day in western UP. “When youths used to oppose fake cases were lodged against them. Security of the daughters was under threat, farmers were upset, there were no jobs for the youth and the poor were not getting the benefits of the Government schemes. Farmers were forced to commit suicide,” he said.
Yogi said, “When the BJP came to power the first decision we took was to waive off 36,000 crore loan of 86 lakh farmers, out of which one lakh hailed from Meerut. We ensured timely payment of cane dues, made provision of procurement of farmers produce on minimum support price. The double engine made an arrangement of providing 6,000 per annum to 2.54 crore farmers under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.” He said that the second decision was to close illegal slaughter houses and the third one was to ensure security of the daughters. The CM said, “We taught lessons to those who were a threat to the security of the daughters. Not a single riot took place in the last five years. Will you vote for those inciting riots or those who pose a threat to the security to your daughters and sisters? A self-respecting society can never support such elements.” (PTI)
