SP calls for curbing drug menace effectively

JAMMU, June 16: In its continuous fight against drugs J&K police held a drug awareness programme at Panchyat Ghar Bhour camp, Chatha.
Shaheen Wahid, SP City South Jammu, in a public meeting with the Ummeed Cluster group Chatha, said that the society on the whole has to work together in the fight against drugs that is emerging as a major threat to our youth.
She said that J&K Police is taking a double edged strategy in fighting drug abuse, by raising awareness among the people and by strict enforcement of law.
While interacting with the members of the Ummeed cluster group, she asked them to step forward and work together with the police to curb this deadly menace. Ummeed Cluster being at the grassroots level can reach a wider section of the society, she said.
