SP determined to form political formation with like-minded parties: Rehman

JAMMU, Aug 27: Samajwadi Party has described the performance of State Government unsatisfactory on all fronts particularly development, controlling galloping corruption, handling crisis of flood due to recent rains, etc.
Critiicised other political parties like PDP and BJP to communalise the atmosphere across the Country including J&K, Samajwady Party (SP) said that it is the only party which is consistently fighting against price rise, unemployment, poverty and communalism throughout the country and is determined to move forward with secular, socialist agenda of corruption free, pro-poor and good governance to form a political formation with like-minded parties in the State for coming elections.
Briefing the media persons here today at Press Club Jammu, Ex-MP and president of State Unit of SP, Sheikh Abdul Rehman said, “The performance of NC-Congress Coalition Government is dismal. About half a dozen politicians of ruling Coalition Government are facing accountability commission and Vigilance Commission. Regarding Kishtwar incident, he said that the Government failed to control the situation and apprehend communal elements besides providing adequate compensation of life and property to the victims of violence in Kishtwar and floods due to recent heavy rains”.
The Party also expressed concern over the negligence of both State and Central Governments to provide adequate relief to the earthquake victims of Chenab Valley region, where thousands of houses were damaged and cracked.
Accusing main Opposition Party PDP, Rehman said that PDP failed to make significant contribution to the State when it was coalition partner in the State during 2002 to 2008 and headed the Government between 2002 to 2005. This exposes the false claim of the PDP that they did not get enough time to serve the State like NC and Congress.
Rehman also attacked BJP saying the performance of the BJP on the floor of the House was very poor to raise the issue of public importance and in order to regain their lost ground the Party is hell bent upon creating communal and regional tension in the State but could not succeed because of political awareness of people.
