JAMMU, Jan 15: Ahead of Republic Day, SP Railways Suram Singh reviewed the security of railways jurisdiction from Vijaypur to Kathua and provided special and necessary instructions to officers and jawans deployed for ensuring better security system of GRP Jammu in view of present security scenario.
He was accompanied by other GOs and jurisdictional officers of GRP Jammu.
He instructed jurisdictional officers, other officers and jawans for safety and security of both men and material at Railways Jammu.
Necessary security related instructions and guidelines were provided to the SHOs, Incharge PPs and jawans to keep their respective area of responsibility incident free. The jurisdictional officers of GRP Jammu were instructed to brief the jawans to provide all viable assistance to public and be polite with public but firm with duties.
They were also directed to brief the personnel under their control to remain available, visible and alert in their respective AOR, so that no nefarious elements may dare to sneak into the vicinity of Railways Jammu.
All were briefed to be ready to retaliate any security threat at anytime and to take necessary preventive measures.
SP Railways also held coordination meeting with district police authority in view of forthcoming Republic Day security arrangements.
