SP Rural launches campaign against drugs, bovine smuggling

JAMMU, Sept 7: SP Rural Dushyant Sharma today launched major campaign against drug peddlers and bovine smuggling at village Jaswan Samachak under the jurisdiction of Kanachak police station and assured the people that police will go all out against the menace of drugs, which has been spreading very fast.
Joined by Incharge SDPO Domana Sagar Singh, SHO Kanachak Inspector Gurnam Choudhary and other police officers, Sharma called upon the people to give information to police if they come across drug peddlers, bovine smuggling or any other kind of anti-social and anti-national activity. He said the people’s cooperation was must in curbing the activities of drug-peddling and bovine smuggling.
The SP Rural said the police parties were always at the disposal of people and telephone number of police stations and SHOs will be displayed at various places to ensure that the people don’t face any problem in reaching police to give information pertaining to drug peddling, bovine smuggling and any kind of anti-national and anti-social activities.
Sharma said police will fully cooperate with the people and act immediately on their complaints but, at the same time the people should extend their full support and cooperation to police.
The SP Rural later also toured border areas of Kanachak and Domana police stations to assess situation prevailing on the borders and inter-acted with the people.
