Jammu, Feb 25: Today law and order meeting was conducted by SP rural Sanjay Sharma, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SHO Domana Mahesh Sharma and Incharge PP pounichak Mukhtiyar Ali, along with other police officials with civil society members and from many political parties.
Police officers conducted the meeting with people from Gho Manhasan and many other areas in Jurisdiction of PP Pounichak which was attended by Corperators, councillors Sarpanches and Panches from many political parties and respectable persons from many communities of the area.
During meeting, Police officers laid emphasises of the community participation in the detection of crime and work as eyes and ears of police for improving the quality of police service delivery to the people and emphasis of police was trying to provide police service to people at their doorsteps. The prople projected their problems like nuisance related to use of pressure horns,increased petroling of police in abondened areas,nuisance associated with tractor trollies and control on vagabond/ gunda elements.
SP rural Sanjay Sharma gave patient hearing to the genuine problems faced by common people and said police can effectively and efficiently provide service to people.
Senior officers laid special emphasis on maintaining harmony between different groups in the society and gave special focus on community policing and also laid focus on social responsibility of people at large to help police provide betters facilities and service to people.
