JAMMU, Sept 30: In view of Navratras starting on October 3, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jammu district under the directions of SSP Jammu Joginder Singh, conducted a meaningful meeting with all the stakeholders of Bagh-e-Bahu Mandir.
The meeting was chaired by SP South Jammu, Ajay Sharma and attended by SDPO East Shezan Bhat, SHo Bagh-e-Bahu Insp Vijay Verma, IC PP Mandir SI Lekhraj Sharma, President Minibus Union, president Auto Union, parking Incharge, various sewadar organisations, Mandir Prabandhak Committee members, president Bagh-e-Bahu Market Union.
The awareness cum interaction was related to prevailing security scenario in J&K, roles and responsibilities of stakeholders towards strengthening mechanism to manage the huge rush of devotees during Navratras to the important religious place of pilgrimage like Bawe Wali Mata temple complex and adjoining area.
Later, SP City South along with SDPO City East Jammu , SHO Bagh-e-Bahu, Incharge PP Mandir toured the whole temple market, surrounding areas, Fort complex and main temple premises and interacted with the stake holders to make them aware about the role and responsibilities of citizens, shopkeepers, devotees, volunteers in ensuring safe and smooth Navratras rush keeping in view the present prevailing security scenario. He requested them to inform Police about any suspicious activity/person/object and be a part of larger security grid of Jammu Police .
Later on, SP South, Jammu along with the team reviewed the security of PP Mandir Bahu Fort and briefed the deployed Nafri (Manpower) and asked to be alert, extra vigilant and respond quickly in case of any exigency.
