LEH, July 10: Alleging that fund flow from State to Power Development Department (PDD), Leh, has never been satisfactory, CEC LAHDC, Rigzin Spalbar, today asserted the Government to increase the fund allocation to PDD.
The issue came up for discussion during the second day of the general council meeting. Spalbar seeking support and coordination of the entire house decided on putting a strong recommendation to State Government on increasing the fund allocation to PDD, Leh and to consider their demand of regularizing the contractual staffs.
Councilor Upper Leh, Gen Nyantak requested Paljor to timely collect the electric bills, consider providing important facilities like, gloves, torch, ladder to the linemen and to do something where the electric lines run through trees posing high risk during rain and snowfall.
Regarding issues on CA&PD ration stores and supply of ration on scheduled date, CEC directed EC, Shafi Lasu to convene an immediate meeting with the councilors to resolve the issue and streamline the system. On MSDP, CEC instructed to Chief Planning Officer to work on the suggestion of Councilor, Dorjey Motup, on making a booklet on centre sponsored schemes for public information and to avoid duplicity and ensure transparency.
CEC also directed DC, Suagat Biswas, to look into the cases of Command Area and land distribution at Chuchot Yokma, Spituk and Pheyang villages.
