JAMMU, July 18: A new project “Jachcha Bachcha” was launched today under Sparkle Woman’s Club. Under this project, the welfare of mothers going into labour and new born babies will be taken care of.
“This project is not only close to our heart but very important for the well being of our society,” said Project Head Sapna Sethi, who along with Jenney Mahajan and Sanah Malhotra took all necessary steps to ensure the success of launching this project.
Sapna Sethi said the birth of a child is not only a moment of immense joy, hope and happiness but also marks the beginning of a crucial journey for both mothers and babies. Ensuring their welfare is not just a moral imperative but a fundamental investment in our future, she added.
“So keeping in mind the challenges faced by new mothers such as inadequate health care, nutritional deficiencies, neonatal care, immunization of babies etc, Sparkle Club will support the new mothers through their initial stage of motherhood by providing them with baby diapers, sanitary napkins, nutrition supplements, protein powder & biscuits and bands & baby wrapping sheets,” she stated.
To start the project, a water cooler with purifier was also installed in the OPD section of Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar (Jammu). Baby diapers, sanitary napkins, baby essential kits, bands and oxymeters were also donated.
“Because the welfare of mothers and newborn babies is not just a matter of health care, it is a reflection of our values as a society. It is about ensuring equity, compassion and promise for a better future for generations to come,” said Jenney Mahajan.
