SRINAGAR, Oct 4: The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul, today directed the Government not to issue any statement outside the House when it is in session.
The Speaker made these directions in reply to a question raised BJP leader, Professor Chaman Lal Gupta. The MLA questioned the statements made by some Ministers outside the Assembly when it was in session.
Gupta was referring to the statements made by two Ministers – Taj Mohi-ud-Din and Choudhry Mohammad Ramzan. “Directions should be issued that there is no statement issued out the House”, he demanded.
However, Choudhry Ramzan immediately clarified to the House that he made no statement but spoke at a conference on food security issue in New Delhi.
