JAMMU, Feb 23: Speaker, Legislative Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today kick-started work of laying water pipes at Ward No. 51-52 in Bhagatpura area of Channi Himmat.
The 218 meter long water pipeline is being laid at a cost of Rs 1.32 lakh by the Public Health Engineering Department.
The Speaker stressed upon the concerned department to complete the work within stipulated time while ensuring quality of work.
The Speaker interacted with the locals and gave patient hearing to their grievances. He assured them that their genuine demands would be redressed in phased manner.
The Speaker also inspected various ongoing projects being executed by ERA in the area and stressed upon the concerned officers to strictly follow the guidelines to maintain the quality of work.
Among others, senior officers of concerned department accompanied the Speaker.
