JAMMU, Mar 28: Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today kick started the macadamization work of Jeevan Nagar-Maraliyan road.
The Speaker, on the occasion, said that the work will be completed at a cost of Rs 1.06 crore and improve road connectivity in the area. He directed the concerned agency to ensure that the work is completed in time.
Later, the Speaker also inaugurated blacktopping work of internal roads of Sher Garh village to be executed by the R&B Department. He asked the concerned authorities to gear up their men and machinery to complete all ongoing roads and other developmental projects in stipulated time frame while adhering to the quality norms.
The Speaker also convened a public meet at Sher Garh where people apprised him of their demands pertaining to safe drinking water, uninterrupted power supply in the areas, proper sanitation and cleanliness, upgradation of lanes and drains in the village.
The Speaker assured them that their pending demands would be redressed on priority basis.
