JAMMU, Mar 20: Speaker, Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul has directed the Estates Department to prepare a comprehensive proposal for face-lifting and beautification of the park of MLA Hostel.
The direction was passed by the Speaker during his spot visit and inspection of the hostel, here today.
The Speaker directed the Secretary Assembly to ensure proper sanitation in and around the hostel premises. He also directed the concerned department to restore proper beautification of paths, installation of benches in the premises.
Mr. Gul went round various sections including Telephone Exchange, Manager’s office and Allopathic Dispensary and took stock of the facilities available there. During the inspection of dispensary, the Speaker directed the concerned to ensure punctuality and proper upkeep and sanitation of equipment.
Later, Mr. Gul inspected the pace of on-going construction work of 10 rooms Staff Hostel at an estimated cost of Rs 21 lakh. He directed the executing agency to speed of the pace of the work and complete it in a stipulated time frame.
Secretary Assembly, M. Ramzan, Director Estates M. H. Malik, Deputy Director Estates, Arun Manhas and other concerned officers and engineers accompanied the Speaker during his visit.
