RAJOURI, Nov 17 : On the directions of District Election Officer Jitendra Kumar Singh, special enrolment camps were organised at every polling booth across the district to enroll the left out eligible voters in the district.
All tehsildars, BDOs, booth level officers along with SVEEP committees of polling station were present at their respective polling stations.
About 5490 people across the district enrolled themselves as voters during the special drive conducted in all polling stations.
Jitendra Kumar Singh said that the special enrolment drive has received well response.
In 81- Nowshera, about 783 people were registered as electorates while 1631 in 82-Darhal, about 1812 in 83-Rajouri and 1264 in 84- Kalakote constituency.
Many voters whose names were missing in the electoral rolls, made use of the special enrolment drive and submitted forms with identity proof to get themselves enrolled.
