NEW DELHI, Feb 11:
Gearing up for the impending summer rush, Northern Railway will run a special train from April to Katra station for Vaishno Devi pilgrims from here.
Special train will also be pressed for Haridwar from Malda to clear pilgrim rush during the summer season.
The Anand Vihar – Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Katra Bi-Weekly Express Special train will depart from Anand Vihar station at 10.20 PM on every Monday and Friday from April 3 to June 30 to reach Katra at 1 PM the next day, according to a release.
In the return journey, the train will depart from Katra station at 11.50 PM on every Tuesday and Saturday from April 4 to July 1, to reach Anand Vihar at 2.05 PM the next day.
It comprises 12 sleeper class, six general class and two second class-cum luggage van coaches.
The train will stop at Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharnapur, Yamunanagar Jagadhari, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Jammu and Udhampur stations.
The Malda – Haridwar Weekly Summer Special train will depart from Malda at 9.05 AM on every Monday from April 24 to June 26 to reach Haridwar at 1.50 PM the next day.
In the return direction, the train will depart from Haridwar at 4.05 PM on every Tuesday from April 25 to June 27 to reach Malda at 11.30 PM the next day.
It comprises one AC-2 coach, three AC-3, seven sleeper class, six general class and two disabled friendly second class-cum luggage van coaches.
The train will stop at New Farraka, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur, Abhaipur, Kiul, Mokama, Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, Ara, Buxar, Mughalsarai, Varanasi, Lucknow, Moradabad and Laksar stations en route in both the directions. (PTI)
