Speed up developmental activities in Jij Bagli Block: Aijaz Khan

REASI, Dec 29: Alleging lack of basic facilities in Jij Bagli Block, Apni Party vice president and former minister Aijaz Ahmed Khan today appealed the Government to speed up developmental activities in Jij Bagli Block.
Addressing a public meeting at Narkote (Ladha), Aijaz Ahmed Khan said that the remote areas in Jij Bagli block have been suffering from poor pace of developmental activities. He said the educational and health facilities in the Block are in the worst condition and the authorities seem unmoved to upgrade the required staff and equipment.
He demanded installation of electricity meters in Dhakikote and supply of unscheduled electricity in Narkote, Dhakikote, Parankote and other areas, besides proper ration availability in the respective ration depots of Narkote, Dhakikote, Parankote and adjoining areas in Jij Bagli Block.
The former Minister further demanded strengthening of the rural economy with the initiation of steps for promotion of unexplored areas and tribal cluster villages in Jij Bagli Block. He also laid stress on completion of construction work of road from Panassa to Parankote in a speedy manner.
Meanwhile, former MLA and senior leader of Apni Party Mumtaz Ahmed Khan also addressed the public meeting and demanded proper school building infrastructures in the Block. He also highlighted the Party’s policy and agenda. He said that the Apni Party is aimed at the welfare of the people and the general and equitable development of all the regions without discrimination.
“If voted to power in Assembly elections, the Party will implement its social security scheme with the supply of four cooking gas cylinders under Ujjawala scheme every year to each family, enhancement of widow pension scheme up to Rs 5000, 500 units of free electricity in Jammu region during summer and 300 units in winter,” the former MLA said.5
