POONCH, June 1: A minor boy was knocked to death by a speedy santro car in the bus stand area of the district.
An 11 years old boy namely Irfan Kazmi, son of Khursheed Kazmi, resident of Gali Pindi, was knocked to death by a speedy santro car bearing registration no jko2 0150. After committing the offence, the driver of the vehicle along with his two other associates fled from the spot.
As the death news of boy spreads, hundreds of people hold protest and raised slogans against the police department and district administration. They were demanding immediate arrest of the driver and two other associated, besides stringent action against them under law.
Police registered a case under FIR No 85/12 and arrested the driver along with two other associates, who were also present in the car during the accident.
They were identified as Sat Pal Saini, son of Chuni Lal of Sanjay Nagar, Jammu, Indu Sharma, son of Nirotam Sharma, resident of power house, Poonch and Amit Sharma, son of Raj Sasan of Subhash Nagar, Jammu.
