SPF alleges restrictions on religious freedom of Sikhs

JAMMU, Apr 4: Sikh Progressive Front has alleged provocative restrictions imposed on students belonging to the Sikh community.
Addressing a press conference, S Balvinder Singh, President of SPF along with other Sikh leaders drew attention towards some alleged incidents in which the Sikh boys and girls were not allowed entry in the school for wearing religious symbols.
He alleged pre planned attack on the religious freedom of the Sikh community through such episodes and appealed Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, DGP Dilbag Singh, Chief Secretary J&K and Principle Secretary School Education Department to take cognizance of all such provocative incidents and ensure action against the erring schools.
Others, who were present in the press conference, included S Manjit Singh, Rajinder Singh Sudan, Surinder Singh Wazir, Sharanjit Singh and others.
