Spiritual saint Swami Mast Bab breaths his last

JAMMU, Mar 11: Swami Mast Bab a spiritual saint breathed his last early this morning at his Patoli Ashram after a brief illness. He was 93.
His cremation took place at Bantalab Cremation ground and a large number of devotees drawn from all walks of life participated in his funeral procession which started from his Patoli Ashram.
Born in 1930 in Budhlada Punjab, Swami Mast Bab Maharaj came in contact with Yog Guru Swami Nand Lal Ji Mahraj in 1964 at Ticker Ashram Kupwara and became his direct disciple. Swami Kral Bab Ji Mahraj, Swami Vibishan Ji were his Guru mates. Swami Ji later established a spiritual centre (Ashram) at Hushru Badgam and Mata Raginia Asthapan Badipur Chadoora.
He also established a spiritual centre (Ashram) at Patoli Toph Sherkhania Jammu in 1974.
Earlier thousands of devotees from different parts of J&K UT thronged the Swami JI’s Patoli Ashram where his body was kept for his last darshan.
Swami Ji preached Sanatan Dharam Param Para and showered spiritual blessings on all who came to seek his blessings.
He played an unparallel role to safeguard the Hindu Sanatan Dharam in 1990-91 during the exile of the community from the Valley.
His disciples Raja Ji Bhat, Ashok Kangan and Murari Koul said that Swami Ji had a lot of love with the land of Kashmir and besides preaching Sanatan Dharma and spirituality to his disciples he did not leave Kashmir even during the worst times of turmoil where devotees continued to throng every year.
