Spiritualism can lead to societal renaissance: Rana

Udhampur, Nov 4: Political Advisor to  the Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana said that spiritualism can lead to peace of mind and calm the turbulent minds in the material world of today which will in turn pave way for a societal renaissance.
Rana, who was addressing a largely attended congregation at  Satsang of Guru Ravi Dass ji here today said that true and selfless service to the mankind without any personal, material or vested interest is a service to  God Almighty. He said the path to enlightenment is in the one’s actions and if actions are based on truth and justice  they are likely to take a person nearer to God.
He said all religions shows different paths to reach the God and Almighty but all preache love, affection, care and selfless service. He said society must rise above caste considerations and work together for the upliftment and wellbeing of all, particularly those who are poor, downtrodden and backward.
Rana said those who preach hatred in the name of religion are devils, who do not understand religion and Godliness.
Paying rich tributes to Guru Ravi Dass ji, Rana said that he was an epitome of social reforms and humanity. He said Guru Ji worked tirelessly to create a world where all are equal and where love is the only bond of relationship between different human beings.
Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj gave sermons on the teachings of Guru Ravi Dass ji to a large congregation from all across the Jammu province.
Maharaj Ji honored Devender Singh Rana, Vijay Lochan President Guru Ravi Dass Sabha and Kaka Ram President Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Udhampur.
Later the Political Advisor had a meeting with National Conference workers of District Udhampur where various political issues pertaining to their district were discussed. He assured the party workers that all efforts will be made to strengthen the party and urged the workers to unhesitatingly come to the Civil Secretariat with their issues.
Rana also informed the party workers about some revolutionary steps taken by Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government in the State like promulgation of Public Service Guarantee Act, setting up of effective RTI Commission, revival of the State Accountability Commission, holding of the Panchayat elections after three decades, setting up of new degree colleges, polytechnics and ITIs, launching of SKWEPY for the unemployed youth besides accelerated pace of development.
He urged the party workers to take the message of the Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government to the grass root and make people aware about the great initiatives taken by the State Coalition Government.
