JAMMU, Oct 16: In the much publicized Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking CBI probe into cross-voting by seven MLAs of BJP during MLC elections on April 13, 2011, Special Division Bench comprising Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar adjourned the same with a direction to the Registry to list the PIL before the Bench which had kept this matter as Part Heard.
Earlier Special Division Bench comprising Justice J P Singh and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar after hearing the PIL had directed Senior Additional Advocate General Gagan Basotra to obtain instructions of the State Vigilance Organization on the steps taken by it on the petitioner’s complaint seeking registration of FIR under Prevention of Corruption Act and other relevant provisions of RPC and Representation of People Act against all those MLAs of BJP who for extraneous considerations indulged in cross voting.
