Spl DG visits Leh, Kargil

SRINAGAR, Sept 1: Special Director General of Police VK Singh today inaugurated a newly constructed GOs mess at Kargil and chaired a Darbar of Police personnel during his visit to Kargil and Leh.
During his visit to Kargil, Spl DG inaugurated the police GOs mess at Baroo Kargil in presence of SSP Kargil T Gyalpo at a simple function. The GOs mess will help District Police Kargil in accommodating  officers visiting Kargil. He also inspected the barracks and interacted with the jawans and officers at DPL.
DySP Headquarters Ishtayaq Ahmad Kacho, Sr. PO Nawang among others were present on the occasion.
During his visit to Leh, V K Singh chaired the Darbar of police personnel at District Police Lines. He heard the police personnel patiently and assured them that their genuine grievances would be looked into on priority.  He said the welfare of jawans has always been priority of Police Headquarters saying that more welfare schemes have been introduced to benefit the jawans in recent times. Issues raised in regard to promotions buildings, vehicles, fuel, staff-strength etc will be resolved at the earliest, Spl DG assured the Darbar.
He also highlighted the features of TRP and advised the candidates who have qualified the PST/PET for the post of SIs and Constables in the Jammu and Kashmir police to prepare whole heartedly for written examination. He advised the SPOs present in Darbar to undergo one year training at ITI in order to get absorbed in JK Police.
SSP Leh, Udayabhasker Billa, Add. SSP CID Leh, DySP headquarters Leh, DysP DAR, Leh, and DYSP Telecom Leh were among others present on the occasion.
