Spl drive against wrong parking on highway, 50 vehicles challaned

JAMMU, Aug 14: On the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic NHW Rohit Baskotra, Traffic Police Ramban launched a special drive against wrong parking of vehicles in Ramban Town and booked a number of vehicles for wrong parking.
Drive against wrong parking in Ramban town was led by DySP Traffic Ramban Iftkhar Ahmed, in which around 50 vehicles including buses, matador & light motor vehicles booked for wrong parking and obstruction in free flow of traffic.
Sharing the details SSP National Highway conveyed that in coming days the drive will be intensified along with action against other visible traffic violations.
He expressed that on one hand we they are working tirelessly day and night for congestion free journey for the commuters on National Highway and on the other hand enforcement of Motor Vehicles Act is being done with full Strength.
Rohit Baskotra further added that in last two weeks around 4000 vehicles have been booked and challaned by Traffic Police National Highway for visible Motor Vehicles Act violations.
He appealed that drivers should obey MV Act and should avoid wrong parking of vehicles on roads as it leads to traffic congestion on NHW.
