Spl Secretary Finance dies; CM, FM express condolence

SRINAGAR, May 1: Senior Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) officer and Special Secretary Finance Muhammad Sadiq Sheikh today passed away at Jammu.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu and Chief Secretary B B Vyas have expressed grief over the demise of Sheikh.
Mehbooba described Sheikh as a hardworking and honest officer, who earned the goodwill of his seniors and subordinates equally. She has also conveyed her sympathies with the bereaved family.
Dr Drabu described Sheikh as a gentleman, a hardworking and dedicated officer who earned the goodwill of his seniors and subordinates equally. “His demise is a huge loss for not only his family, but the Finance Department as well,” Dr Drabu said. The Finance Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
The Chief Secretary described Sheikh as a gentleman, a hardworking and dedicated officer who earned the goodwill of his seniors and subordinates equally. “His demise is a huge loss for not only his family, but for the whole administrative fraternity,” he said. The Chief Secretary conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
