SRINAGAR, Sept 23: Rakesh Gupta, Special Secretary, Science and Technology Department, was found dead at his official residence at TRC this morning.
Police said that Gupta, a Kashmir Administrative Officer (KAS) from Jammu region, was alone at his residence and found lying dead on his bed.
Police said that there was no injury marks on the body of Gupta. As per the preliminary investigations, the officer died of cardiac arrest.
Inquest proceedings have been initiated to ascertain the cause of Gupta’s death and post-mortem was conducted on his body.
