‘Splendour of Kashmir’ launched in Mumbai

JAMMU, Nov 17: The Maharana of Udaipur, Arvind Singh Mewar launched the first exhibition of “The Splendor of Kashmir”, in the city of Mumbai at The Palladium Hotel.
The Splendor of Kashmir by Varuna Anand is a humble endeavor to promote the age old art of hand embroidery on fine Pashmina from Kashmir. Shawl making from Kashmir is the most acclaimed of Kashmir Handicrafts and has come to be an epitome of artistic excellence.
This exclusive exhibition was a host to up market clientele from India and overseas and very well received by them.
Arvind Singh Mewar was all praise for the efforts put in by Varuna Anand, in putting together this fine collection of shawls. He said it is always a pleasure to see that even today there are talented craftsmen who are carrying forward this age old legacy of shawl making from Kashmir.
Varuna Anand said that her collection of shawls is a tribute to the tireless hours put in by Master craftsmen from Kashmir who create these pieces of art, she promotes as “Drapable Art.”
