UDHAMPUR, Sept 13: An SPO was among two persons killed while four others, including a Police Constable sustained injuries when a Tavera car fell into a deep gorge near Samroli, last night.
The deceased identified as Sudash Kumar son of Bali Ram of Pangha Reasi and Sham Lal, SPO in J&K Police.
According to the Police, the Tavera car bearing registration number JK20-2419 was on way from Jammu to Srinagar when it rolled down into deep gorge near Samroli on NH1A Udhampur.
The victims were rushed to hospital where Sudesh Kumar and SPO Sham Lal succumbed to the injuries.
The injured have been identified as Kikker Singh son of Luxmi Das of Tanda Reasi, Sat Paul son of Bali Ram of Pangha Reasi, Ajay Sharma son of Mangat Ram of Pangha Reasi and Ashok Kumar, Constable J&K Police.
Meanwhile, in another road accident, a motorcyclist was injured when his bike collided with a bus near Omara Morh on NH1A.
The injured, identified as Devraj, son of Mansa Ram of T Morh, was on way from Udhampur to his residence. He was shifted to District hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu.
