KISHTWAR, Sept 1: Two persons including Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police were killed when a Maruti Eeco van rolled down into deep gorge at Bulcharer Saroor area on Bimalnag road today evening.
As per police sources, a Maruti Eeco van rolled down into deep gorge at Bulcharer Saroor area on Bimalnag road here, resulting into serious injuries to eight persons.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Trauma Centre Thathri, where doctors declared one of the injured person identified as Kunj Lal (SPO), son of Daya Ram of Dugga Sarror as brought injured.
Later, the four injured persons were referred to District Hospital Doda and two injured persons to District Hospital Kishtwar, where doctors also declared one of the injured identified as Mohinder Kumar, son of Roshan Lal of Dugga Sarror as brought dead.
The injured persons were identified as Sandeep Kumar, son of Om Parkash of Dugga Sarror, Satish Kumar, son of Ramesh Kumar of Dugga Sarror, Rahul Kumar, son of late Seva Ram of Dugga, Happy Sharma, so of Hem Raj of Bukhana, Dalip Kumar, son of Krishan Lal of Khor and Anoop Kumar, son of Badhu Lal of Dugga Sarror.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
