JAMMU, June 12: An SPO of Police Station Hiranagar was terminated from the service for molesting an insane women during his duty hours at Dayalachak More last night.
According to police, SPO, Raj Kumar was on duty at Dayalachak More last night. He tried to molest an insane lady, who was moving on the road. Some passers by saw it and they raised an alarm. The people from adjoining residential houses rushed to the rescue of the women and caught hold of the SPO.
Later the police took him into custody and SDPO Border M L Kaith issued orders of his termination.
Police said the SPO was drunk and his medical examination was also got conducted. A case has also been registered in PS Hiranagar against him. The SDPO also placed the Head Constable of PS Hiranagar under suspension that was on duty in Police Station at that time for dereliction of duties.
