Born on December 6, 1993 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, Jasprit Singh Bumrah is an Indian right-arm fast-medium bowler who plays cricket for India, Gujarat and the Mumbai Indians. Bumrah made a successful Indian Premier League debut for the Mumbai Indians on 4 April 2013, taking 3/32 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In January 2016 he was added to India’s Twenty20 International squad for their series against Australia, as a replacement for the injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Bumrah made his One Day International debut for India in the same tour against Australia on 23 January 2016, taking two wickets for 40 off 10 overs. He then made impact on his T20 debut on January 26, 2016 with the figures of 3-23.He is the only Indian bowler to bowl 2 maiden overs in a T20 international game. Jasprit was born in Ahmadabad, Gujarat, India to a Sikh Punjabi family. He started his bowling career by playing for Gujarat under 19 team. He made his IPL debut with the Mumbai Indians in 2013. He showed some promise in his bowling with some pace and swing. He has impressed many in the IPL with his bowling figures, in his debut match of IPL 2013 he took 3 wickets for 32 runs against the Royal Challengers Banglore. From a very young age he has been playing cricket, showing very minimal interest in education, Bumrah focused on his cricket and was supported though-out by his parents.
A 22-year old Jasprit Bumrah grabbed instant limelight when on the Indian T20 League debut; he finished with figures of 3-32 against the Bangalore franchise. While doing so, he became only the second bowler in the side to pick three wickets on debut.
