He made his Twenty20 debut on January 2, 2016 in the 2015-16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was bought at the 2016 Indian Premier League auction by the Rising Pune Supergiants for 4.5 crores, which was 45 times the original base price of 10 lakhs. He is playing for Rising Pune Supergiants in the ongoing IPL-2016 and is performing well for his team.
