Krishnamachari Srikkanth is an Indian former cricketer and captain of the Indian national cricket team. He was born on 21 December, 1959 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Srikkanth is currently a chairperson of a selection committee. He was fertile right handed opening batsman of the Indian team and deliberated for a command of hitting. He was also an attacking off spinner.
Srikkanth made his test entrance and one day international beginning against England in year 1981 as an opener giving a marvelous start to the Indian cricket team. He has known better for his hitting technique, quick and sharp reflexes allowed him to stroke with a power. Srikkanth has taken twenty five wickets in one hundred forty six one day internationals in which including a best bowling figures of take five wickets giving just twenty seven runs.
Srikanth has played forty three test matches for India, scoring over the two thousand runs in which including a top score of one hundred twenty three runs. Srikkanth compiled a significantly record of one hundred forty six one day international matches, scoring over the four thousand runs in which including a top score of also one hundred twenty three runs.
He was appointed as a Chief Selector of Indian Cricket team in year 2008. Currently, he provides match commentary on CNN IBN shows.
