JAMMU, Nov 15: To inculcate the moral values in the students and to teach them about kindness and empathy towards elderly people, students and teachers of Sprawling Buds School, Bantalab donated Rs 74,125 to Helpage India in a special assembly in the school premises here today. Students of school also took pledge to care for and support the elderly.
Empathy is the foundation of compassion, which is the foundation of values. Children don’t learn empathy by being told to feel it. The only way kids can learn empathy is by being treated empathically, and by watching you respond to others with compassion and kindness, said the Director of the school, Arti Sharma.
In her address, Sunita Santoshi State Manager of Helpage India expressed expressed gratitude to school for its concern and care to help needy and aged people.
