KATHUA, Nov 14: As a part of training programme SPS Police Training School Kathua conducted route march of Sg. Constables of JK Armed Police presently undergoing pre-promotion course here today which started from PTS Kathua and passed through Gujjar Hostel-Chan Gran- Kuka Chack-Late Payre Singh Gate- Tangri Hotel and culminated back at PTS Kathua.
The trainees were flagged off by Ramesh Kumar Bhat, SP, Principal Police Training School Kathua in presence of officers of this institution. The Principal PTS Kathua briefed the trainees about the advantage of route march and also advised them to exhibit proper discipline during the route march. Trainees were also briefed that this is a part of their training programme and is organized to check and improve their physical standard/stamina in outdoor activities which will prove useful to them during their field duties.
Principal PTS Kathua along with Rakesh Kumar Dhar, SP Vice Principal, Kuldeep Raj Tripathi, Assistant. Principal (Admn), Ramnish Kumar, Principal (Outdoor), Manzoor Hussain, Chief Law Instructor and other officers/staff of PTS Kathua accompanied the trainees during route march. Medical staff along with ambulance and necessary life saving drugs also remained the part of route march to meet any eventuality. In collaboration with District Police Kathua adequate security arrangements were made to ensure smooth and incident free conduct of route march. Traffic Police also extended their full support in regulating the traffic in the town during route march.
After the successful culmination of route march, a cultural programme was presented by trainees. To encourage talented police trainees rewards for best programme and talent were announced by Principal SPS PTS Kathua on spot.
