JAMMU, Mar 14: Director School Education, Simrandeep Singh today placed Senior Lecturer in GHSS Bhour Camp, Surjeet Singh under suspension for facilitating the use of unfair means during the Chemistry exams at Centre No.1827.
In this centre set up at Guru Harkrishan Public Higher Secondary School, many students indulged in unfair means and mass copying right under the nose of Surjeet Singh, who was posted as Superintendent in the centre.
When the Deputy Superintendent objected to this practice, she was restrained from performing her rightful duties. As the conduct of Surjeet Singh was unbecoming of the public servant, Director School Education, in exercise of powers under Article 108 of J&K CSR, has placed Senior Lecturer Surjeet Singh under suspension with immediate effect.
He has been directed to report to the office of Director School Education immediately and a departmental enquiry will be initiated against him after framing the chargesheet.
