SRCC conducts GS, optional workshops

JAMMU, June 9: SR College of Competitions (SRCC) today conducted free workshops in General Studies (GS) and optional subjects of Public Administration and Political Science to help Civil Services aspirants learn more about the examination.
In the two-hour GS workshop, Vishal Maini touched different aspects of the examination and explained in detail about the ways and means to prepare for the Civil Services. He guided the target students about the writing skills and changing aspects of the most competitive examination.
The GS workshop followed by two optional guidance sessions in Public Administration and Political Science by visiting faculty from Delhi. Gautam Pandey explained in detail the Public Administration as optional subject, its relevance and benefits in cracking the Mains examination. He also told the target students about how to prepare for Public Administration and took general queries to clear the doubts.
Similarly, R K Jha discussed Political Science as an optional subject. He mentioned the valid points to justify the subject as a scoring optional while listing the prescribed books and journals to prepare for the examination.
Meanwhile, the SRCC started over month-long Test series aiming at the KAS Mains examination to be conducted by the JKPSC on July 22. To begin with, students appeared in General Studies (GS) and various optional subjects. In total, there will be 11 such tests in GS and six others in optional subjects on Wednesday and Sundays.
