Sri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha celebrates birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh

KATHUA, Sept 22: “Dogra Rule under the aegis of Maharaja Hari Singh is remembered as  golden era for the state”, asserted Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI & Training Chaudhary Lal Singh while paying homage to Maharaja Hari Singh on his 121st birth anniversary here today.
The Minister, while recalling the contribution of Hari Singh towards state’s welfare at a function organized by Sri Amar Kshatriya Rajput  Sabha, Kathua, said the key tenet of Maharaja Hari Singh was his humane approach which he practised with equity and justice during his rule.
He said it was the period of Maharaja Hari Singh when the dream of social equality was realised and social evils like child marriage, Sati Pratha and untouchability were strongly dealt and weeded out from the society.
Choudhary Lal Singh informed the gathering that Government is determined to provide all healthcare facilities to the people in all the three regions of the State. He further informed that all the health institutions in the State are being equipped with latest equipments so that best possible facilities would be provided to the people.
Ch Lal Singh also highlighted the plans of developing Ranjit Sagar Dam Lake, Basohli with modern water sports facilities for attracting tourists for which a team of Essel World has visited the lake recently.   He said the  work on double laning of Lakhanpur-Basohli will commence soon  which will open the corridor for tourists to explore the scenic beauty of Basohli, Bani and Billawar.
MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia said Maharaja Hari Singh’s rule was an  ideal example of a cultural and religious tolerance society  ruled by justice friendly ruler. He said his ideology should be taught to generations to come.
MLC Vikramaditya Singh also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the significant contribution of Hari Singh  in building the social fabric of the state. He said the first and the only resolution of Maharaja was justice and he never claimed religion or caste above the justice.
State President Sri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha  Narayan Singh,  District President Sri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha Kartar Singh, representatives of Rajput Sabhas of Punjab, Himachal and Haryana besides large number of people were present on the occasion.
