COLOMBO, Nov 26: The Sri Lankan government has called for reports on India’s Adani projects in the island and is taking the matter seriously, Media Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said in the wake of charges being filed in the US against the business group alleging bribery, media reports said on Tuesday.
The finance ministry and foreign ministry are enquiring into the matter, a Sri Lankan media outlet, the Economy Next, reported.
According to media reports, Adani has a wind project, a transmission, and a port terminal joint venture with Sri Lanka’s John Keells Holdings and Sri Lanka Ports Authority.
“Reports from relevant ministries have been called,” Minister Jayatissa said.
“We have not yet taken a decision,” he added. (UNI)
