Srinagar temp rise above normal, MeT forecasts showers

SRINAGAR, July 9: After respite from hot weather, temperatures rose in Srinagar to settle at 34.2°C with Weatherman forecasting isolated showers across the region.
Director Meteorological Department (MeT) here Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad forecast a spell of isolated showers across Kashmir.
On July 9-10, there is a possibility of spell of rain/thundershower at scattered places of Jammu Division and isolated places of Kashmir Division.
On July 11-13, the official said that there will be light to moderate rain and thunder showers at many places in Kashmir.
On July 14-15 there will be brief spell of rain/thunder showers at isolated places across Jammu and Kashmir.
Srinagar recorded a maximum of 34.2°C, 3.5 degree Celsius above normal for this time of the year.
Qazigund settled at a maximum of 32.0°C, Pahalgam recorded a maximum of 28.1°C, Gulmarg 24.0°C and Kupwara 34.2°C.
