SRINAGAR, May 18: Traffic Police headquarters Srinagar on the Moulana Azad road was damaged in a fire incident early Wednesday.
The fire broke out around 0410 hours in the morning in the office of Senior Superintendent of Police traffic headquarters which damaged all records, files and wireless set communication equipment.
Fire and Emergency officials said 12 fire fighting engines including a fire fighting ladder and two rescue teams were rushed to the spot to douse the leaping flames.
They said the fire broke out in the attic of the building and engulfed the building within no time. It took fire fighting engines about three hours to douse the fire, they added.
The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained, they said, and added however, no one was injured in the incident. (AGENCIES)
